Mobile Library

The mobile library has been established for students who wish to enhance their out of class reading. This library will be open prior to and after classes. The books will cover a variety of levels of students. This move will help students become more interested in reading and advancing in Chinese. Please see the library open notice and rules listed below:

For the purpose of helping students learn the Chinese language beyond the classroom, the Center has established a mobile library. To qualify to borrow books from the library, one MUST participate to be a member, which will be charged for a membership fee of $10 per year. Once becoming a member, a library card will be issued and valid for one year. Below are the tentative rules and schedules on how to borrow books.

  • Members should bring the library card with him/her in order to borrow the books.
  • Since our library owns a relative small amount of books at this point, every member will be limited two books at a time, which will be due in two weeks and only be allowed to renew once for another two weeks.
  • Book should be returned or renewed on time. Renew can be done by phone or email. A fine of $1 will be charged for each book every week past due.
  • Book should be kept clean and should have no damages during the check-out period. Should the book get any kind of serious damage or is lost, a compensation fee will be charged to the member based on the market price of the book plus 50% fine of the book price.
  • Books must return back prior to end of each term.
  • Books will be checked at each classroom on each location.
